Rob Brooker is a plant ecologist working at the James Hutton Institute in Aberdeen. He has over 20 years’ experience of research in a wide range of ecosystems around the globe, in particular in mountain and arctic environments. His specialist subject areas include understanding the interactions between neighbouring plants: how they compete with each other and how – in some cases – they may have beneficial effects on one another.
