Hayden Lorimer is Professor of Cultural Geography at University of Glasgow. He has researched the emotional geographies of Scotland’s mountains for the past twenty-five years. His writing has appeared in The Guardian, and in radio broadcast for the BBC. He is an avid collector of “Cairngormiana”. In a former life, when he was younger and fitter, he made several attempts to break the record for running around the Cairngorm 4000s. He failed.
