Wow, it’s been an awesome weekend. We didn’t get the snow this year but still managed to deliver about 50 ticketed events and had amazing support and attendances.
The Festival Team would like to say a BIG thank you to all our community partners, sponsors, speakers, instructors, musicians, prize donors and the army of volunteers who all helped make it happen.
Let’s do it all again next year……we might even have the right amount of snow!!
Thank You
The Braemar Mountain Festival Team
With the forecast showing yet more unseasonably warm weather for this time of year, we are making some small adjustments to our extensive festival programme.
Those booked on winter skills and avalanche courses will be refunded in the coming days and offered a discounted rate on the wider programme as a gesture of good will. Worth noting that we are now offering an alternative half day avalanche course which is not snow dependent!
Braemar Mountain Festival is proud to showcase the best of Scotland’s mountain life and our programme is always designed with the famous unpredictability of the Scottish weather in mind. .
With a programme packed full of adventure films, inspirational talks, skill sessions and evening events, we hope you’ll don your sunglasses and join us for some glorious days out in and around Braemar!
Tickets are selling fast for some of our sessions and talks. We’ll provide regular updates as we countdown to the opening of the festival.

Winter skills course now full on Saturday, with a few places remaining on Friday.
